Introduction

Counteracting all the collateral effects that may appear on our skin is just a matter of rearranging some homecare routines.

Skincare daily routine includes cleansing the skin at least twice a day. People with an active lifestyle should try to incorporate a third time during midday hours.

Active people tend to sweat more while exercising, and this sweat can cause acne if it remains on the skin too long. Sweat, makeup and bacteria can get trapped in your skin as pores close, leading to clogged pores and inflammatory acne.

Use a good cleanser

Be sure to use a facial cleanser that tones, decongests and moisturizes the skin. md:multiactive firming tonerTM removes skin impurities and excess of oil, while reducing the pore size and refining surface texture, leaving the skin fresh and toned.

Exfoliate periodically

Gentle exfoliation helps you get rid of dead skin cells that could clog the pores. It is recommended, once a week, to apply the soft peel md:prepeel Beta & AHAs Complex 8% to make your skin look firmer, brighter and free of imperfections, comedones and pores.

Counteract the effects of heat

Furthermore, constant changes of the body temperature are common among athletes due to the acceleration of the heart rate and change of environments during and after the workouts. These changes may lead to erythema, irritation, and blood vessels dilation.

Heat can damage the skin by inhibiting its restorative processes. To mitigate these side effects, you can take a series of steps that will improve the quality of your skin. Try cooling the body naturally after the workout and then take a mild shower. Let your body cool down a little more and then apply a highly hydrating cream, such as X:treme Skin Renewalto avoid dehydration.

Be careful with sun

People exercising outdoors are more susceptible to skin-ageing effects. To protect the skin against the damaging effects of UV rays, daily skin regimen must include the application of a SPF moisturizer, with SPF 50. Before going outside, don’t forget to apply 3D Moisturizing Sunscreen Protection to your face, throat, chest, and back of the neck.

So, there you go, you athletes have no excuse for displaying beautiful yet healthy skin.
